Forms and Information
Orinda Aquatics,
Inc. is a year-round USA Swimming program for the youth of Orinda,
Moraga, Lafayette, and the surrounding areas. Established in 1995,
we are a non-profit organization that exists to benefit all
interested swimmers. Our programs are directed at all levels of
swimming and dedicated to the maximum development of each
swimmer as an athlete and as an individual. The motto of
Orinda Aquatics is "Character First" and
it is preached and lived daily by coaches and swimmers. The
overriding philosophy is that participation in youth sports
can and should be a life enhancing experience and not
an activity in and of itself. This program
emphasises structure, teamwork, integrity, and discipline;
the better the person, the better the athlete, the better the
swimmer. It is the program’s and the coaches
objective that the benefits of swimming, and of Orinda Aquatics, go
far beyond the pool.
Orinda Aquatics is a true community program, serving nearly 1,000
swimmers in the Lamorinda area. Our team is comprised of
approximately 100 year-round swimmers, 25 college swimmers, over
500 Fall (summer-recreational) swimmers, 125 high school pre-season
swimmers, and swimmers who participate in our spring clinics. In
addition, we have a Masters program for adults ages 19 and
up. (
