Summer Begins
June 14th:
School is almost out (I am sure
kids are bummed), and we will begin the summer schedule next
Monday. Be sure you know your workout schedule. Just a
reminder, summer is short so don't waste a minute (We are
only 5 1/2 weeks for JO's). Be sure you keep up with
the meet schedule and get your entries in on
time.
If you have any other
activities/vacations, be sure to communicate them with your
coaches.
Summer JO's,
July 15-18:
Calling all OA families. Only
5 1/2 weeks away and our coordinators are busy working out details
and organizing the jobs list. We are asking all families to
step up to the plate. Our donations wish lists will be out
soon as well. Thank you for all your
support.
Team = a group of individuals
working and cooperating to achieve a common
goal.
Orinda Aquatics - Character First - Team
First
Carson
City;
The Junior group made the annual
pilgrimage to Carson City over Memorial weekend with probably one
of the biggest groups ever. The swimming was good but as
always the dinner at REDs and the Bowling was better.
Although we have been attending this meet 10 years, we did have a
first - Que for Five platter at Reds (vegetarians beware).
Del Valle Open
Water;
Great Job to all who participated
in the open water swim in Livermore yesterday. It was a great
day, beautiful venue and the kids had a very positive
experience. The results are still be tabulated but it looks
as if OA had a great showing, not bad for first timers. For a
look at the prelim results[
Open
Water].
Kudo's to Coach Marc leading the
way for the coaching staff. Also to Mollie Larsen, Ariel
Thomas, Ally Levine and Delia Salomon for competing in the 1.5 mile
swims.
