2025–2026 College Training Registration

All college swimmers must be officially registered in a workout group to attend practices. No drop-ins are permitted.

Tip: If you are unsure of your summer plans, we recommend registering for the School Year package now. You can easily upgrade it later if you decide to stay through the summer.

Part-Time School Year Package

$100 | October 2025 – April 30, 2026: Designed for athletes who want to train with Orinda Aquatics exclusively during the current school season, including school and holiday breaks. This option does not cover summer training.

Full-Time / Senior 2-3 Package

$400 | October 2025 – August 2026: Ideal for swimmers wanting to train over school breaks and throughout the entire summer, but who cannot fully commit to the strict training requirements of the Senior 4 group. Competition for this group is entirely optional.

National Level / Senior 4 Package

$500 | October 2025 – August 2026: Built for fully committed college athletes training at a level commensurate with our Senior 4/National group. Swimmers must hold Sectional-level times, commit to everyday training, and compete in Sectionals.

Mandatory Prerequisites

Before stepping on the deck for your first workout, USA Swimming requires all athletes to hold a current USA Swimming membership and be fully compliant with Athlete Protection Training (APT).

You can renew your registration and complete your APT online by logging directly into your USA SWIMS account.

Schedule Note: Always check our Weekly Updates for schedule adjustments, especially around the holidays.

The Path to College Swimming

A Welcome from Coaches Ronnie & Donnie

The coaching staff of Orinda Aquatics could not be more proud of the tremendous academic and athletic history of our athletes. Our swimmers consistently embrace character as a dominant theme in their lives, serving as true leaders and role models.

Our athletes achieve academic excellence while remaining dedicated, year-round competitors. For example, looking back at our historic 2010 graduating class, 16 of our 19 seniors went on to become intercollegiate athletes while maintaining an average GPA of 3.8—a standard of excellence that rivals any club program in the nation and continues today.

It is our ultimate goal that our graduates not only compete collegiately, but that they love the sport, continue to improve, and become leaders on their college teams.

Finding Your Fit

Because so many of our athletes enjoy the discipline and camaraderie at Orinda Aquatics, they naturally want to carry that into college. Swimming in college is possible for everyone; there are literally thousands of programs with varying levels of competition and commitment.

The key to success is defining your academic, athletic, and personal profile: Who are you, and what are you looking for?

It may seem daunting, but if you break the recruiting puzzle down into steps—starting with the borders and working your way in—you can actually enjoy the process. Whether you start early or in September of your senior year, we are here to help you narrow down the search. Finding the right college goes hand-in-hand with the time you have committed to Orinda Aquatics, and we will be with you every step of the way.

I was contacted by someone who tracks NCAA athletes and pairs them with companies who are looking for graduated athletes. I don’t think I’ve ever appreciated my past as a swimmer so much! Companies are looking to hire disciplined, dedicated, goal-setting, and passionate people who know how to manage their time. Athletes fit the mold perfectly, and I think programs like Orinda Aquatics really build up the character of not only an athlete but a well-rounded individual.
