Apparel & Equipment Guide

To build a unified team presence and ensure every athlete has the proper tools for training, Orinda Aquatics partners with Conejo Swimworks, a nationally recognized team dealer, for our apparel and equipment needs.

For health and safety, all swimmers are required to maintain their own personal gear bags rather than sharing team equipment.

Included in Registration

Your seasonal registration fee covers the daily essentials. The coaching staff and parent volunteers will order and distribute a team suit, three team t-shirts (short-sleeved red, short-sleeved navy, and long-sleeved white), a color-coded wet equipment bag, and an Arena silicone team cap. Please ensure your swimmer’s suit and shirt sizes are kept up to date in your registration profile so we can place accurate orders.

Required Meet Attire

A unified deck presence is mandatory for all team members at meets. While we love seeing families in seasonal Spirit Wear, those items do not substitute for official meet attire. All athletes must purchase the official navy warmup jacket, navy pants, and red team backpack directly through the Orinda Aquatics team store at Conejo Swimworks. Orders placed through the team store are shipped directly to your home.

Required Training Equipment

Proper training requires the right tools. Every swimmer in the program, regardless of their group, must have a kickboard, fins, Finis Agility paddles (sized appropriately), and a pull buoy (younger swimmers should use a junior-sized buoy).

As athletes advance, their technical needs increase. Swimmers in Junior 3 and all Senior groups are additionally required to carry a properly sized snorkel, a parachute, and a tempo trainer. If you have questions about sizing or specific equipment, please consult your coach.

Optional Gear & Customization

Athletes looking for additional warmth on deck can purchase the optional red team sweatshirt or navy team parka through the team store, along with team shorts.

Families also have the opportunity to order personalized Arena team caps two to three times a year. These caps feature the swimmer's last name (no nicknames permitted) and require a minimum order of two. Because these are custom items, they ship in bulk to the coaching staff and are distributed on deck.

Additionally, parent volunteers organize casual Spirit Wear sales each fall and spring—perfect for family members and athletes to wear off the deck. Keep an eye on your email for these seasonal announcements.
